Rock And Roll Cruises 2011: Journey Back In Time

If you were a product of the fifties or just love the feel of that era then something you might love to do in 2011 is take a journey on a rock and roll cruise.

But that being said, you might also get the shock of your life.

Lot London

The truth is that rock and roll cruises are not 1950's inspired dancing cruises, they are multi-day hard rock concerts on cruise ships - and can be a whole log of fun.

Rock And Roll Cruises 2011: Journey Back In Time

You will notice that through the cruise, you will be able to meet and chat with members of the playing bands as well as other lovers of rock and roll. One of the great things is that most of these Rock and Roll cruises is that there is a questions and answers session with most of the bands (which is a huge thing for a lot of fans), as well as having an open mic room available for those who want to share their musical talent with the rest of the guests.

Now this type of cruise is not going to be for everyone so to stop from annoying those who are not interested in going on a cruise dedicated to rock, the organizers of these events book out the whole ship - meaning that you will not be annoying anyone.

If this sounds like heaven, there are quite a few of these rock and roll cruises setting sail in 2011. The main thing will be finding the ones that have the bands that you are interested in listening too and finding a group of friends to go with - because ever knows that concerts are best attended with friends.

Rock And Roll Cruises 2011: Journey Back In Time

Find the best 2011 cruise deals by visiting the popular travel websites. That being said, a lot of rock and roll cruises are no sold of these popular sites so you will just have to do some online research. regular cruises get the best deal by searching late cruise deals.

Rainscreen Technology

Vancouver, BC is the largest city in the province of British Columbia and the third largest city in Canada. It is surrounded by water on three sides and is nestled alongside the Coast Mountain Range. In addition to a spectacular natural scenery and a bustling metropolitan core as well as boasting one of the mildest climates in Canada, Vancouver records one of the heaviest rainfalls in the world. Typical rainfall monthly patterns average 169 mm each in November and December and 135 mm in February and March. In Vancouver anything can happen to you, but dying of thirst is not one such thing. Vancouver, furthermore, holds one other record - although this one is very seldom publicized on tourism websites: it is the leaky condo capital of Canada.

To be fair to my hometown, Vancouver is not by any means the only place in the world to have experienced this kind of problem. Toronto and Winnipeg have suffered of the same calamity, and so have Chicago and London, England. The problem here, however, is that a lot has been said and very little done to correct building envelopes imperfections common to so many high-rises, until the aggregate estimated cost of repairs to leaky condos has exceeded CAD billion. Engineering, now, has come to the rescue changing things finally for the better with a new advance in building envelope construction and repairs. It is called Rainscreen Technology.

Lot London

Most of the high-rise towers have been built using face-sealed outer wall assemblies. Developers refer to 'cladding' as the material or component of the wall assembly that forms the outer surface of the wall which is, thus, exposed to the full force of the environment. Face-sealed outer wall assemblies have invariably relied on a strategy for rain penetration control based on the elimination of holes through the cladding. As face-sealed walls are designed and engineered to deal with exterior moisture, in the form of rain, by sealing the exterior of the wall and preventing water from penetrating past the face of the cladding, if water does penetrate past the cladding it cannot readily drain out of the wall and remains, therefore, stagnant within the assembly. Here water can damage moisture sensitive material and components. It is, therefore, essential to insure that no water penetrates the outer cladding.

Rainscreen Technology

The water management strategy created by face-sealed outer wall assemblies can work in certain conditions where the wall is in a protected location and receives little exposure to wetting. However, as we have so disgracefully learned first-hand here in Greater Vancouver, in most situations face-sealed walls do not perform well. This is so because it is extremely difficult to fully seal the exterior cladding and ensure that no water will enter. The increased exposure experienced by high-rise buildings further limits performance expectations for this type of wall.

In contrast, rainscreen walls manage water in a different fashion. The exterior cladding is still intended to deflect most of the water that contacts the wall. However, a cavity is provided behind the cladding. If water does penetrate the cladding it reaches the cavity and cannot move further into the wall assembly. Instead water in the cavity will drain down on the inside face of the cladding or on the waterproof membrane at the other side of the cavity, and it will be deflected out of the assembly at a cross-cavity flashing. In practice the cavity acts as a capillary break to remove the capability of water to stagnate inside walls. The end and most important result of all this is that with rainscreen walls it is not essential that the outer cladding be completely sealed. Imperfections are acceptable, and this will surely make a lot of developers happy - and a great many condo owners even happier.

Cruise Ships For Sale

We all know that cruise ships are great getaway on the high seas. But did you know that cruise ships in all shapes and sizes are available for sale? Depending on your budget, you could buy a cruise ship for a steal at million, or the price can rise into the millions. The price depends on the size of the ship, passenger amenities and its condition. The metal used in building the ship is important too, because rust would prove to be a negative selling point.

Most cruise ships have staterooms, public rooms, cabins, scullery (pantries), dining halls, entertainment areas and swimming pools. Space for retail outlets such as bookstores, gift, souvenir shops and hair salons, may or may not be present depending on the cruise ship. A spa, health and fitness club, and sports bar are also built into most of the cruise liners. Sanitary facilities should be examined closely in all cabins and public areas to know what basic amenities are available.

London Office

The scullery usually is equipped with all necessary appliances including ovens (conventional, convection and microwave), stoves, toasters, refrigerators, coolers, pots and pans and all the ingredients to provide the guests with the best meals during their journey.

Cruise Ships For Sale

Passenger observation decks are on most cruise ships to allow passengers to enjoy the beauty of the sea while the ship is on the move. Most of the cruise ships also come equipped with a casino housing gaming tables like blackjack, roulette, poker, dice and slot machines. There is usually a satellite connection for televisions provided in all the mega liners to entertain guests.

Some of the most important amenities on a cruise ship are located in the pump room, chiller room and office rooms. Other important cruise ship information would include the security available for guests and their valuables, provisions to store perishables, makes and models of engines; space allocated for engines, generators and the rudder rooms. New cruise ships come with electrical fittings, heavy machinery such as the engines, other machinery such as those used for steering the ship, deck machinery, air compressors, fire, bilge and other necessary pumps in the pump rooms -- all the equipment required for securing and mooring the ship.

Last but not least, the cruise ship must be equipped with lifesaving equipment, as well as first aid kits to handle any emergencies. Fire extinguishers with hoses and spanners, lifebuoys, life floats, rescue boats, distress signals such as flares, common bandages, medicine chest etc., form the major part of the emergency paraphernalia.

Before buying a cruise ship, the buyer needs to do some homework to make sure that the condition of the ship is acceptable, as well as all technical matters pertaining to the ship's ability to function properly.

There are excellent websites on the Internet that provide details about various cruise ships on sale. Browsing through these will give you a good idea of the price range and amenities to look for in a cruise before signing on an agreement.

Water Fun Facts - Interesting Water Facts for Kids

Leonardo da Vinci (the famous Italian Renaissance artist and inventor) knew a thing or two as you probably know, but did you know that he wrote this? "Water is the driving force of all nature." It certainly is, as an adult's body is 70% water and our brain consists of around 75% of water, so when we sweat and urinate we lose water which needs to be replaced so that our bodies function as they should. Without water we would die, and it has been estimated that we could only live for a week without water, but could live without food for a month.

Our planet consists of more water (around 77%) than land, but unfortunately for us most of that is undrinkable as it is found in oceans seas and geysers and so on. Fresh water makes up about 1 % of all water on Earth, and yet we waste it every day. We use hoses to wash our vehicles instead of buckets of water and take baths instead of showers. We often leave dripping taps to drip without bothering to fix them and we use a lot of water when we flush toilets, although now there are short flush options available.

Lot London

"All the water that will ever be is, right now." (National Geographic 1993) This means that the water molecules we drink has perhaps been through the systems of dinosaurs and other long-extinct creatures, as the world's water supply is the same as it always has been, because of the hydrologic cycle. We can only get more drinking water if we have more desalination plants that can turn salt water from seas into drinking water.

Water Fun Facts - Interesting Water Facts for Kids

97 per cent of water on the planet cannot be drunk for the reasons mentioned above, while 2 percent is locked away in glaciers and ice caps. That means we have only one percent of fresh water for industrial and agricultural purposes and for our personal use. Icebergs are made up of fresh water (which is why they don't sink but float) and they are made when ice breaks off from glaciers and ice shelves in the Arctic and Antarctica. They are subjected to wave movements and tides, and so smaller icebergs break off from the huge ones, in a process called 'calving.' If the ice at the Poles melts very rapidly this will cause some of the world's major cities to flood, including London (which is why there is a flood barrier), New York, Sydney and Karachi the main port in Pakistan, which is a megacity.

We need to have around eight cups of water a day, although w get this from all the drinks we consume as well as all the food we eat as water is in nearly everything we consume. Water isn't always in liquid form.

While I was researching for this article I discovered that in Candy, on the island of Sri Lanka there are public baths with a difference; they have a bath for elephants which really appreciated a daily swim and rub down at the baths!

Postcodes make sure that the mail can be send through the correct channel and the right delivery path is followed. The postal codes in UK are called the postcodes. A post code for a residential address in the UK consists of between five and seven letters which are divided into two codes-Outcode (area+ district) and Incode (sector +unit). This can be linked with the Delivery Point Suffix in order to generate a reference that is exclusive and it is to be changed to a barcode that can be used by mail type deal possessors.

There are nearly 15 Delivery points in a postcode record which can store a maximum of about 100 points. When there is a combination of location or number then an exclusive reference can be made for every mailbox in UK. Postal codes are alphanumeric. These were developed by Royal Mail over a period of 15 year. Dealing with a postcode for a residential address in UK, we must know that a full postcode unit points to a restricted number of addresses or may be to one letter box. The outcode points to all or part of post town. The outcodes having one or two similar prefixes are divided into 124 postcode area groups. Postcode information is mainly contained, preserved and reorganized in the Post code Address File together with millions of delivery points. In a postcode for a residential address in UK is the postal district. The number immediately following the outcode represents the post town, ie. the post office for the area. The incode represents the specified part of the town or post office within the initial part, then a number and the last two letters showing a possessions or group in the location.

London Office

Postcodes in Toxteth begin with L, places in Manchester and Salford start with M and so on. In Glasgow postcodes were within the letter G and the remaining 60% of greater London are given postcodes based on the central plan.

The two to four characters just preceding the space is the out code aiming to send mail from sorting office to delivery office. The starting letter is the postcode area. Then the following digits 0 to 99 show the postcode district. Folowing the space is the in code which is aimed to sort mail at the final delivery office. The first character following the space is a digit from 0to9 that denotes the postcode sector. The last two letters is the postcode unit. These can be anything between A-Z. This gives us some information regarding the geographical area. The PAF that can be used to find a postcode for a residential address in UK is generally licensed and it is also used in address managing software.

Places to Go in Nevada (Besides Vegas)

Las Vegas is often the main event in Nevada, no matter what month it is and there are a lot of things to do in Las Vegas whenever you visit. There are, however, other things to check out if you have a chance to visit other parts of Nevada that are just as fun and interesting as Las Vegas. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful sight to see. Heavenly Valley Epic Mountain is one of the largest mountains in the country. There are 4,800 acres of beautiful snow and beautiful scenery to experience. The mountain is over 10,000 feet with 360 inches of annual snowfall. If that isn't enough snow for the mountain, they have the largest snowmaking system in the country that covers 70% of the mountain. Heavenly Valley also offers sleigh rides, lake cruises, spas, hot springs and everything you need to make a relaxing vacation.

The Truckee River Kayak Park Course is open year round and is a great break from the surrounding hotels, even though it is downtown. The water has a constant flow and is fresh and clean. The park is within walking distance from the hotels and casinos but is a part of the mountain adventure area. This area offers skiing, golf and mountain biking in addition to the kayaking park. There are five-drop pools in the north channel and six drop pools in the south channel. Each drop pool allows for kayaking maneuvers or you can run the whole course in 2 to 2 ½ minutes. The water maintains a 50 to 70 degrees and never freezes. Kayakers are required to wear helmets and flotation jackets for safety purposes. The course is a class 2 to 3 course. Canoes, rafts and inner tubes are also allowed on the river.

Lot London

Laughlin is a fun place to go if you like to gamble but don't want to pay for the high-priced hotels in Vegas. Laughlin is on the Colorado River and it is still pretty warm during the day. You will find temperatures in the seventies, so feel free to hop into the hot tub after a long day at the slots. Laughlin doesn't have all the glamour of Vegas, but it is hardcore gambling if that's your thing. There are also several outlet stores for some shopping. Nevada is a beautiful state and it doesn't matter where you go you will find something to do. Nevada has a lot of outdoors attractions and the weather tends to stay warm throughout the year.

Oliver Twist

The original story of Oliver Twist by Dickens is bit sombre and negative. A poor boy works in a workhouse where he is subjected to abuse. He is later surrounded by thieves in London and other boys from similar deprived backgrounds. It saddens the heart and allows one to think only of greed, poverty, corruption and perceived power.

Yet on closer inspection, the film is actually rather positive. Directed by Roman Polanski the film is a classic. Oliver Twist is a boy - an orphan- of innocence. he is forced to labor and work for the benefit of others on virtually no sustenance. He and his fellows draw straws to see who will ask for more gruel - Oliver loss. To cut a long story short - and to encourage you to watch the film - Oliver is sent away and meets the Artful Dodger - and so the story unfolds.

Lot London

There are certainly lots of very catchy and energetic songs which will have you and your children singing for months to come. Indeed, there are plenty of children in the cast as a whole, and the theme is lightened with songs such as "Food, Glorious Food" and "Consider Yourself." The parts of Fagin and Bill Sikes are played by adults and they give an admirable account of themselves.

Oliver Twist

The backdrop of London locations adds to the whole atmosphere of poverty and jollity; and even though the film is over two hours long, somehow it doesn't feel as though it drags at all. A must see classic for all.

IELTS Writing Task 2 - Writing Concluding Sentences

Most candidates have difficulty completing the IELTS Writing Task 2 essay on time. However, candidates seeking higher band scores, say, 7 and above, should plan to write a conclusion paragraph that includes not just a Restatement of the Thesis but a true concluding sentence as well.

The purpose of the conclusion sentence is to leave the reader with one more idea, to round out the discussion and bring it to a satisfying end. Often, the sentence can unify the essay by returning to an early idea, perhaps even the one in the Hook, and ending on it.

London Office

The concluding sentence should not, however, contain a main idea or, worse, a strong opinion. It is merely supposed to leave the reader with one last, light thought to consider. So, if you write a concluding sentence, make it a suggestion, a recommendation or a prediction. And keep the language light and speculative.

IELTS Writing Task 2 - Writing Concluding Sentences

For example, if you had written an Opinion Essay on the subject of mandatory retirement, and you had written that you were against it because it was harmful to companies, workers, and workers' families, you would not want to conclude with yet another opinion. In other words, do not end with an even stronger opinion, such as: "The government must change its policy of mandatory retirement before more economic damage is done." That's far too strong for a conclusion. Instead, consider these kinds of concluding statements:

- Recommendation: "Because people are able to work effectively longer today, perhaps the government might reconsider its policy."

- Suggestion: "Because costs of living are going up and people need to work beyond retirement age, it would be in the interest of the economy that the government rethink its retirement policies."

- Prediction: "If the government reviewed its policies about mandatory retirement, some able-bodied workers might be able to work beyond retirement age, to the benefit of everyone."

Notice that none of the statements tells the government what to do. They just propose a reconsideration of the policy. Also, notice that the prediction statement does not say what will happen, which is a different kind of prediction, but what might or could result. It's also helpful to include words like perhaps and maybe, to reinforce the idea that statement that the statements are conditional, that is, that they merely note possibilities, rather than things that must or will occur.

The Business of Mobile Personal Training

What do you imagine when you think of a mobile personal training business? Is it a pair of dumbbells and some boxing gear tossed in the trunk of your car, or is it a logo wrapped van with enough equipment to put a small studio gym to shame? Probably the latter based on what I see around the streets and parks these days.

The mobile personal training industry has evolved into a category within itself over the past few years, with some trainers opting to ditch the conventional fitness centre environment all together and focus their entire business in the fresh air.

London Office

So what is the fascination with outdoor training?

The Business of Mobile Personal Training

I spoke to a few mobile personal training entrepreneurs as I researched this article and the consensus was quite simply that their clients prefer to train outside. They enjoy the variety of activities and after being cooped up in an office all day, love the fact that they can spend some time outside.

When deciding whether this type of business will work for you, it's important to keep in mind that the clientele you attract as a mobile trainer could be considerably different to the fitness centre or gym market.

Depending on your area of expertise or the type of client you wish to attract, you should weigh up the opportunities, because if it's bodybuilders you're after, make sure you pack some warm clothes to wear in the cold mornings, because they aren't showing up.

I'm not suggesting you can't introduce some outdoor training for your strength and power clients, 8 times Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman started a worldwide craze with his car park walking lunges! You're target market should be general population clients, regular people that want to get fit or lose weight. If this type of client bores you and you don't want to get your sneakers dirty, then I suggest you stay in the gym.

So once you've decided that mobile training is for you, it's time to decide what kind of business you want to invest in.

There are opportunities these days to buy into franchise mobile personal training which has its positives and negatives. On the plus side, you buy into an established brand and your marketing and advertising is almost exclusively handled for you. On the downside, there are start up expenses and franchise fees which can vary, but you can expect to pay up to 20% of your gross profit directly to the franchise owner.

If you choose to go it alone like many do, then you should consider the start up costs involved.

Firstly, you need a reliable and practical vehicle to cart your equipment around in. You may need to trade in the Miata or mx5 on something a little bigger. You will need to arm yourself with a variety of equipment; the basics would look like this:

* Boxing equipment: Gloves and focus pads
* Light dumbbells: You don't need anything too heavy
* Matt's: For abdominal work, push ups etc.
* Witches Hats or Cones: For running drills
* Physio bands: Mobile resistance training
* Exercise balls: There are countless exercises you can perform with these
* Medicine balls: Again, for a variety of reasons
* Mother nature and your local council can provide the rest

It can be difficult finding an uncrowded, suitable and convenient location. I suggest trying Google maps as a fantastic research tool, where you can get a birds eye view of the type of terrain and natural obstacles available, such as stairs, hills and benches etc.

Many city councils also now provide fitness equipment in their parks, like chin-up and other parallel bars.

As you can see, offering mobile personal training to your clients opens up a whole new realm of business opportunities. Many trainers probably own some of the equipment I listed above already and if not, there is always inexpensive used equipment to be found.

A Quick Look at Jewelry Hallmarks

British Hallmarks are the best in the world.

Who says so, the rest of the World. Although to be fair, other countries have great hallmarks too, it is just that they are NOT so often seen.

London Office

A book on World Hallmarks for Gold or Silver items is a must for any serious collector or dealer, but they can be a little intimidating and time consuming. Is that mark a Cockerel or a Tree? Could it be made in Switzerland or Germany?

A Quick Look at Jewelry Hallmarks

Thankfully for the rest of us, a small pocket book on UK Hallmarks is more than up to the task, coupled with that very useful plastic 10X eyeglass I keep on hinting for you to buy.

It will show you that the item has been tested and stamped, to prove it is - what it says it is (9ct or 18ct etc).

British Jewelry with a full UKHM (United Kingdom Hall Mark) is generally clearly stamped and readable after you clean it (check the website below for another complimentary article on 'How to Clean your Jewelry at Home').

Once you are aware of the marks, you will always feel just that little bit better when you buy that 'Could it be an Antique?' item at the local market, or from the guy in the Pub that everyone talks about but nobody knows.

Buyer Beware....

*Six marks on British Jewelry.*

Yes... Six?

# 1: The Maker's Mark (Usually some initials). Not all that important for everyday items, unless you want to collect Jewelry from one maker. Silver collectors may want to buy items from say, Bateman (I should be so lucky).

# 2: The second stamp is the Assay Office mark or 'Mark of Origin'. It tells you where the item came from. The most common is the LONDON Hallmark. A Leopard's Head. Sometimes this has a crown on the Leopard's Head (until circa 1821). Modern items do
NOT have a crown on the Leopard Stamp.

The other most common Assay Office marks are from Birmingham (an Anchor). Once there were many Assay offices around Great Britain and Ireland, the Chester mark for instance. Now there are just three offices left in England, Sheffield being the last using a 'Rose' on gold Jewelry (DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH 'ROSE GOLD' JEWELRY) as that is a color, not a mark.

In Scotland there is Edinburgh, while in Ireland there is Dublin. Pity the poor Welsh are left out again!

# 3: The next is the Assay Quality mark and is shown as the 'Lion Passant' (which means 'looking ahead') and is a guarantee of quality. This was later changed to a 'CROWN' mark with a stamp showing the quality of Gold.... 9ct or 18ct etc.

# 4: Finally, and possibly the most important mark, was the Date letter mark. It changed each year so we can tell when the item was made.

Occasionally there is an extra mark.

# 5: An example was the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977.

Suffice to say if you see a Brooch with four or five marks and one of them is an Anchor with an 18 next to it and a letter 'C' next to that.... It's a safe bet it was made in Birmingham in 1927, or was that 1952, or 1902, or, or, or.....

Buyer Beware the man in the Pub.

As with most Jewelry items though, our advise has always been to buy the best QUALITY you can afford from a reputable dealer who will guarantee it.

Other than that, your plastic 10X eyeglass sure helps a lot....

P.S.

Although it's NOT compulsory I would personally appreciate it if you could send me an email at: gemmo1@online-jewelry-appraisals.com to let me know if and where you used it. 6 Negative Effects Of Eating Fast Food

1. Fast food has a very high energy density. About 65 percent higher than a typical diet and twice as high as recommended healthy diets which makes us eat more than we otherwise would. Energy density refers to the amount of calories an item of food contains in relation to its weight. Foods with a high energy density confuse the brain's control systems for appetite, which are based solely on portion size.

2. British researchers from the Medical Research Council Human Nutrition Center and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine have determined that repeated eating at McDonald's or KFC or Burger King, people are more likely to gain weight and become obese. This is because fast food not only contains many more calories than traditional food, but also is more likely to undermine normal appetite control systems.

Lot London

3. By eating a Big Mac and fries, the body consumes almost twice as many calories as you would if you ate the same weight of pasta and salad. Fast Food restaurants feed the obesity epidemic by getting people to eat many more calories than they need through persistent advertising.

6 Negative Effects Of Eating Fast Food

4. McDonald's, KFC, and Burger King menu items using nutritional data from the fast food restaurants' Web sites, found that when we eat high energy density foods, we don't reduce the portion size so we get a lot more calories than we need. Our current society possesses a weak innate ability to recognize foods with a high energy density. Food intake is assessed by the size of the portion, yet a fast food meal contains many more calories than a similar sized portion of a healthy meal. The conclusion is we are all being fooled into eating too much food.

5. People get fat eating regular portion sizes, but since the food has a high energy density, people gain weight. In evolutionary terms, the human appetite was designed for low energy density foods. In other parts of the world where these foods are still the dietary staples, obesity is virtually non existent. Our bodies were never designed to cope with the high energy dense foods consumed in the West. That is a major reason why fast food in contributing to the major rise in obesity.

6. Another fact is that fast food may speed up people's risk of clogged arteries that can lead to heart attacks. Researchers at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in San Francisco have demonstrated that a certain type of fat, called oxidized fat, can accelerate the buildup of plaque in arteries. And many types of fast food such as hamburgers, pizza and French fries are loaded with oxidized fat. The conclusion is fast food meals are high in saturated fat and low quality carbohydrates, white bread and lots of soda. Our bodies require fiber and more healthful types of fats. Fast food represents a dietary pattern that is the opposite of what is recommended for a healthy body.

Post Office Passports - Applying For a New Passport

One of the requirements when applying for a new passport is that an authorized agent witnesses the signing of your application. This is done at a passport application acceptance facility.

There are more than 9,000 passport application acceptance facilities located throughout the United States. Of the thousands of facilities, the majority are located in post offices.

London Office

Approximately 90% of the post offices that do passports have handicap access and about 80% of them have on-site passport photo capability.

Post Office Passports - Applying For a New Passport

The documents you need to take with you when you visit the post office include:

completed but unsigned passport form, evidence of citizenship, proof of identity, two passport photos, Social Security card.

Form DS-11: Application for a New Passport can either be downloaded online or you can get a copy at the post office.

There are two passport fees if you choose regular processing. The application fee is paid to the U.S. Department of State and is sent with your application and other required documents. The execution fee is paid to the authorized passport application acceptance agent at the post office.

An additional fee must be paid to the State Department if you request expedited services. Expediting your passport can diminish the processing time. Instead of 3 to 4 weeks, you can get your travel document in 2 to 3 weeks. It can take longer when there is a significant increase in application submissions.

Since no postal office actually processes passport applications, it is not the place to request emergency passport expediting in less than two weeks. This must be done either directly through a regional passport agency or a private expediting service.

Regional agencies are located in major cities throughout the United States such as Boston, Dallas and Los Angeles. Unlike submitting a passport application at a post office where you can just show up anytime during commercial hours, it is necessary to make an appointment at the regional passport agency. This is done by calling the automated appointment number: 1-877-487-2778.

If you need your passport in less than two weeks but are unable to visit a regional agency, you can apply through a professional passport expediting service. You still have to visit the post office to get your passport application adjudicated. However, instead of mailing it to the State Department, you send it to the expediter.

Looking For a Great Italian Meatball Recipe?

Looking for a great Italian meatball recipe? Wrap your lips around this one.

This recipe was given to my by my 105 year old Sicilian great-grandma. This is the real deal.

The Best Meatball Recipe

Can be prepared in 45 minutes or less.

Ingredients

1 pound combined beef, veal, pork (must be fresh)

3 large eggs

1 cup grated Romano Locatelli Cheese

1 cup bread crumb

1 clove garlic - minced

1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

(All mixing is done be hand)

In a large bowl mix beef/veal/pork with eggs. Then add bread crumb, cheese, and salt. Finally add minced garlic in stages. Add a little garlic, then mix. Add some more, then mix. This way all the garlic does not end up in one meatball. Now, it's time to roll up the balls. Average size is roughly 2 inches in diameter. I usually get around 18 to 20
meatballs per pound.

IMPORTANT! Do not cook meatballs in your pasta sauce! Meatballs cooked in sauce loose their flavor. The real key to a tasty meatball is cooking the them in an oven. So, heat oven to 375. Place meatballs on a rack - then on a cookie tray.

Bake for 12 minutes on one side then 10 minutes for the other.

BEWARE If you choose to fry your meatballs make sure you are alone. The aroma is so overwhelming that anyone in smelling distance will be steal your meatballs right out of the frying pan.

I freeze the meatballs in plastic bags and take out what I need per dinner. I just drop the meatballs into the sauce as if heats up.

Buon Appetito!

Interior Design - Decorating Walls

It's sometimes hard to start redecorating your home, especially when you don't really need it, but you'd like a change. Interior design is a job for professionals, but with a little bit of imagination and some guidance you too could create an astonishing design. This is hard when there is no plan to follow. So, the first thing you should do is create a decorating plan, in which to include what you want to change, the available budget, tools you'll need, materials and the estimated time period.

Many people believe there is not much you can do on a low budget. That's more or less true. I'd prefer saying less. There are so many resources available today, plenty waiting at a click of the mouse, that you have practically no excuse not to create astonishing interior designs. You'll find online all you need, from complex mural and decorative wall paintings to ordinary wallpapers. Here are a few wall decorating ideas.

Printed Fabrics to Replace Expensive Paintings

Interior Design - Decorating Walls

When all you have to enhance is a plain huge white wall, you might want to choose an extra large painting, but art doesn't come in cheap. If your budget is low, investing $ 500 - $ 700 to enliven a plain room might be too much. Are there any alternatives? Well, you could either make that painting yourself - but this will still cost a lot (large canvases are expensive; acryl or oil colors as well, plus the most costly tool of all: your time) - or you could visit a few of the local textile stores to choose a nice piece of fabric that will match the colors of your furniture or the other design patterns in the room. You'll need to choose a fabric with big prints and a special pattern, something meaningful, like a flower, leaf or butterfly; something exotic (maybe a palm tree or a colored bird) or something abstract. No matter what you choose, make sure the print goes together with the other elements of the room.

Decals Make Nice Wall Ornaments

Decals are funny in children's rooms. There are plenty of decals made especially for interior design purposes, both for walls or doors and even for furniture. You could find them in many home improvement or interior decorating shops, or online, at very low prices. The decals are great for small accents or trails around windows or doors. If you ever get tired of them, peel them off carefully and they will not cause any damage to the wall.

Latex Paints to Design Your Own Wall Patterns

You could also use latex paint to design your own wall patterns. If you do the job well, no one will ever make the difference between your work and real wallpaper. But you'll have the satisfaction of something unique, something no one else in the world has, not even those who employ skilled interior designers to do the job. If you want a regular pattern, you'll need a stencil. For your pattern to be really unique you should design your own stencil. It's fun and easy. Browse the web to find stencil tutorials for interior decorations that will guide you through the whole process step by step. Yes, this technique requires a lot of your time, but the results are worth the price.

Different Types of Buses

Public transportation has been around for almost as long as the motor vehicle has been traversing the earth. Different forms of public transportation are the subway, trolley cars, planes, taxi cabs and the bus. The bus is one of the most popular forms of public transportation and continues to grow in popularity. There are all kinds of different uses for buses. They range from school buses to public buses to tour buses to coach buses. School buses are some of the most recognizable vehicles on the roads today. They are bright yellow and are equipped with red and yellow flashing lights to warn other motorists of children exiting the vehicle into the roadway.

Tour buses are used to show tourists around major cities such as New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Los Angeles, CA and even London. London is known for their double decker buses. Double decker buses have made their way into the United States culture as well. They are popular in the cities mentioned above for city tours. The ones in Philadelphia take tourists to the Art Museum, Old City, Betsy Ross' House, the Constitution Center and Independence Mall.

Lot London

Coach buses are used for long term trips across country or for athletic teams to get from one school to the other in college and the airport to the stadium or team hotel in the pros. Coach buses usually have TVs in them, with a bathroom and excellent seating. Coach buses are usually decorated with decals and paint to match the pro team's colors or the college team's colors and logo. Colleges and Universities nationwide are most known for employing coach buses in their fleet of transportation vehicles.

Different Types of Buses

Public transit buses are one of the most common forms of buses on the roads today. They probably rank right up on the list with school buses. Public transit buses are used by cities to transport civilians to and from work, school and their home. People use public transit buses to get to and from the ballgame, to and from the movies and to and from a concert. The buses in Philadelphia are run by SEPTA, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, and are red, white and blue in color.

One other type of buses in operation today is called trams or tramcars. Trams are used to shuttle people back and forth in a large parking lot, such as an airport or a theme park. Trams are a bit smaller than normal buses but serve the same purpose; to move people from one point to another.

The word bus is derived from the word omnibus. Omnibus means 'for all.' That's why buses are for everyone to use. From students, to workers, to tourists; buses help people get to and from their destination each and every day. The very first version of buses was used in 1862 by the French. The bus was pulled by horses to and from each stop. Those buses were large versions of a horse and buggy that could hold more than five people.

Here is the list of Bollywood movies releasing in 2009. Akshay Kumar has quite a good line up of films in 2009 while Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan have a film each, apart from their special appearances in three films. Among the actresses, the three Ks-Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif look set to have a good year.

* Victory: Victory starring Harman Baweja, is one of the most expensive movies of 2009. The story is about a boy from a small time village in Rajasthan who fulfills his father's long cherished dream of being an acclaimed cricketer at the national level. There are cameo appearances by many international cricketers as well. Anupam Kher and Amrita Rao costar in Victory.

Lot London

* Acid Factory: Acid Factory, a Sanjay Gupta film has an elaborate start cast of Dia Mirza, Irrfan Khan, Fardeen Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Aftab Shivdasani and Danny Denzongpa. Acid Factory is about a group of people, whose sense of past has been erased from their memory. It is a high octane thriller, making the bad and evil relish-able. Dia Mirza plays a bad woman for the first time. The music of Acid Factory has been give by many music directors, including Sandeep Chowta, Anand Raj Anand, Mika Singh. The director of Acid Factory is Suparn Verma.

Bollywood Movie Releases of 2009, Hindi Films of 2009

* Raaz-The Mystery Continues: Director Mohit Suri attempts to show in this sequel to Raaz, that no one is good or bad totally; every one has their own demons to fight. Raaz-The Mystery Continues is a story of three people. Emraan Hashmi an artist, visualizes and prophecies the brutal death of Kangana Ranaut. Kangana's beau (reel and real life) Adhyayan is determined to save her at any cost. The movie under Mukesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films releases on January 23, 2009.

* Chandni Chowk to China: Director Nikhil Advani is back with a prized Akshay Kumar starrer-Chandni Chowk to China. The story is such that Akshay Kumar works at a roadside foodstall in Chandni Chowk, cutting vegetables and dreaming of a better life. He consults astrologers, tarot readers and the lot, believing in everything but himself. His redeeming moment comes when two strangers from China claim that he(Akshay) is a reincarnation of a war hero and takes him to China. Akshay moves along with Ranvir Shourey in a bid to realize his brave past. Along the way he meets Deepika Padukone and they set off in a series of adventures.

* Billu Barber: If Aamir Khan adapted a movie Ghajini from the south last year, Shahrukh Khan does a similar thing this. Billu Barber produced by Shahrukh Khan is loosely based on the friendship between Kishen and Sudama and also borrows from the Malayalam superhit Kuselan. Shahrukh Khan plays himself in the movie(call it an extended special appearance) while Irrfan Khan, who is the protagonist plays a small town barber. Whatever the fate of the film, one thing is for sure: you will blown away by the performances of two of the best actors of Bollywood.

* Delhi 6: The best director of 2006 Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra produces and directs this film. It is an autobiographic take on his growing days in Delhi. The film should be the trump card for actress Sonam Kapoor. It also stars Abhishek Bachchan. There is a huge expectation from the director who started a revolution with Rang De Basanti.

* Delhi Belly: Imran Khan who had played two distinct roles in hit Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and flop Kidnap, comes back in a frothy comedy, to be made by the best producer in Bollywood, yep you guessed it right, Aamir Khan. There is buzz that Delhi Belly is an adult comedy with 'strong language' and sexual innuendos. The movie Delhi Belly is being marketed as an adult copy, appealing to a niche audience and international market. The film is directed by Abhinav Deo.

* New York: Kabir Khan who surprised us pleasantly with "Kabul Express" comes back in 2009 with a taut thriller called 'New York' . New York stares Katrina Kaif, Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham who has stripped himself to the buff(rejoice girls!) for a particular sequence of the film. New York is a contemporary story of three friends whose lives are scarred events beyond their control.

* Luck by Chance: The man of multiple talents Farhan Akhtar stars in what could be one of the finest Bollywood movie release to 2009.The star studded release include Hrithik Roshan, Rishi Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Dimple Kapadia, Isha Sherwani, Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Kapoor. Luck By Chance is a take on the aspiring actor with stars in his eyes, who wants to get a foothold in the Bollywood industry. It is a movie about how much of an impact does luck play in Bollywood.

* 8 x 10: This will be Akshay Kumar's first 'non-filmi' movie if one can use this term. In a relatively low budget film directed by the ever dependable Nagesh Kukoonoor and produced by Percept, it will portray Akshay Kumar as a man who can look into the past of dead people by touching objects that belonged to them. Inspired lightly by 'Sixth Sense,' this film is a must watch.

* Alibaug; Directed by Sanjay Gupta, it has a bevy of actors: Sunjay Dutt, Sanjay Suri, Diya Mirza, ROhit Roy and Maushmi Makhija. The story deals with nine youths who have just graduated from college and are looking at the real world that awaits them.

* Alladin : Alladin is an interpretation of Arabian Nights. It stars Riteish Deshmukh as Alladin and Amitabh Bachan as the genie. Expect a lot of special effects in this funny tale. Sanjay Dutt also stars in the film as a villain called Ringmaster, directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

* Ajab Prem ki Ghajab Kahani: Raj Kumar Santoshi, one of the prolific directors of Bollywood, attempts to bring the magic of Andaaz Apna Apna once again with a comic caper cum love story, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The movie has a simple story of Ranbir Kapoor who moves around in his life, aimlessly. He keeps on fooling around till he meets Katrina Kaif and falls in love with her. After that the fun and madness begins.

* * Aashayein: Aashayein directed by Nagesh Kukunoor stars Ayesha Takia and John Abraham. John Abraham plays a compulsive gambler suddenly discovers that he is a victim of terminal illness, and that he has only 90 days to live. He is admitted to a hospital where he discover love, companionship and the beautiful meaning of life.

* Kambhakkt Ishq: One of the most talked about movies, Kambhaqt Ishq has beeen in news since 2008. Kambakth Ishq has cameo roles from major Hollywood stars including Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richards. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. Akshay Kumar who plays stuntman, will be back in his action avatar, doing dare devil stunts. The movie also stars Aftab Shivdasani, Amrita Arora and is directed by debutant Sabir Khan. Kambakth Ishq is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

* London Dreams: London Dreams, one of the most expensive movies of 2009 stars Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Asin. London Dreams is a story about two pop stars Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan who fall in love with a South Indian girl, Asin.

* Rensil D' Silva's next: Rensil D'Silva who was Rang De Basanti's screenplay writer become director with this film. It is a thriller with global terrorism in the background. The movie stars Saif Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi and Kareena Kapoor. Karan Johar is the producer.

* Hissss: Hissss is synoymous with Mallika Sherwat. Hollywood collaborates with Bollywood to produce Hissss. Mallika plays a snake who is on the way to seek vengeance. An American visitor steps into the jungles of India and kills the female snake's mate which makes her seek revenge. Expect a lot of special effects in this flick. Apparently Mallika Sherwat who is dressed in a painfully heavy snake costume(she couldnt even go to the loo for 10 hours flat while shooting for this film) has no dialogue to mouth in the film.

* De Dhana Dhan: Priyadarshan is back with his style of comedy with De Dana Dhan. The movie stars the current hot onscreen pair-Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar. Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal also star in the film, hopefully to recreate the Hera-Pheri magic, 9 years ago. De Dana Dhan is a story of two broke guys who are in search of big money, to prove a point to their girlfriends. The movie also stars Sameera Reddy and Neha Dhupia.

* What's Your Rashee: Director Ashutosh Gowariker tries a love story with What's Your Rashee? starring lovers Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja. The movie is an adaptation of a Gujarati novel by Shri Madhu called Kimbali Ravenswood. The romantic movie is a story about how Harman Baweja has just ten days to win over the love of his life, Priyanka Chopra.

* Kaminay: One of the most prolific directors, Vishal Bharadwaj comes back with a bang in Kaminay, starring Shahid Kapur, Priyanka Chopra and Amol Gupte(the creative director of Taare Zameen Par). Easily one of the awaited films of 2009, you will see Shahid Kapur in a double role here. The look of Shahid is going to be totally different for Kaminay and it is reportedly kept under the wraps. The movie is supposed to be a comedy with a difference.

* Imtiaz Ali's next film: Imtiaz Ali, who had given the saccharine sweet Jab We Met, two years ago, comes up with a romantic intense tale, which stars Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan. Though the story is kept under wraps, it will be a true-blue love story of 2009.

* Wake Up Sid: Call it unconventional romantic pairing, but we have Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor starring in Wake Up Sid, directed by debutant Ayaan Mukherjee. It is a Karan Johar production. Will be interesting to see how people from two different genres, Konkona and Ranbir do with this one.

* It's My Life: The sweetheart of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na(2008) pairs up with Harman Baweja in the movie Its My Life. The movie is directed by the director with the superhit track record, Anees Bazmee.

* Wanted-Dead or Alive: Starring the muscular Salman Khan and the voluptuous Ayesha Takia, Wanted-Dead or Alive should be the first big hit of the most under rated performer of Bollywood, Ms. Takia. Prabhudeva's first Bollywood directorial venture is a remake of his Tamil-Telugu blockbuster Pokiri. The pairing of the two beautiful actors is wonderful and the chemistry is going to sizzle the screen.

* Blue: Blue, one of the most expensive film of Bollywood ever(budget more than Rs.100 crores), has Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan in lead roles. The action film is shot in Bahamas and is written by American writers Joshua Lurie and Bryan M. Sullivan. The movie has a lot of underwater scenes and dare devil stunts by Akshay Kumar. A.R.Rahman has given music for the film. Australian singer Kylie Minogue has been reportedly paid 1.5 million dollars to sing for Rahman, Antony D'Souza is to direct the film.

Apartments in Charlotte NC Which Approve With Bad Credit Or Broken Lease

The City of Charlotte continues to attract tourists, Charlotte, a city of over 700,000 is the largest in the state of North Carolina and is also the seat of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. The city is a beehive of commercial activity, culture and the arts and as such continues to attract quite a number of people each year. Renting an apartment in Charlotte is easy provided you have good credit and do not have any a prior broken lease. If you are looking for a rental unit in Charlotte and have a poor credit and/or a broken agreement or lease with a previous apartment, you may be denied.

Apartments in Charlotte have a standard criteria they employ when screening applicants. One of these is off course to check credit and rental history. They do this first of all to comply with housing laws and also to maintain a reputation as a safe community. Many apartment leasing managers usually do not welcome applicants with damaged credit or rental pasts unless off course you find a no-credit check apartment in the city

London Office

Despite the fact that many apartments in the Charlotte area have a standard procedure of conducting background checks, there are some apartments that do work with applicants who have a problem with their credit or rental past. But these may not be easy to find. If you are looking for a second chance apartment in Charlotte or no-credit check apartment in the same city, here are a few places you can look

Apartments in Charlotte NC Which Approve With Bad Credit Or Broken Lease

Cotswold The Aboretum Parkdale Sedgefield

People whose credit is not perfect and are looking for an apartment to lease are usually faced with one major frustration; the fact that these types of apartments are not easy to find. The reason is that they rarely advertise for fear of drawing the wrong attention

If you want to locate apartments in Charlotte that do accept people with imperfect credit, you must start by networking. This means letting trusted friends, co-workers, and family know your situation. Hopefully they might know somewhere where you can be approved.

Another way is to see whether anything useful comes up on the Internet. Search engines Google, Yahoo and Bing will most likely bring up something on this topic and this can save you lots of time in driving.

These apartments may also ask applicants to pass a series of basic criteria. One is that they must prove they have a job which pays enough to guarantee rent. The other is that they may ask applicants to succumb to a criminal background check although this may vary

Scrap Copper: 5 Best Places To Find Scrap Copper

Copper is in a lot of places you might have never suspected. It is one of the most valuable scrap metals on the market. This can be a very lucrative business for the right person. It is also a way to make a little cash while also helping to cut down on environmental waste. You can find copper hidden in a variety of places. Most often though it is in full view, found in things that you never would have imagined. Knowing where to look will help you in your recovery efforts. Below you will find five of the best places to look for scrap copper.

1. In household fittings. This is especially true of older homes. Pipes and other types of plumbing will have copper in them. Be warned however it is illegal to take the copper from a house you do not own. You can safely get them from demolition sites and if someone is remodeling and have thrown them out.

Lot London

2. Appliances used to have a lot of copper. Not so much now but there is still quite a bit in them. The older the appliance the more copper is in them. Washing machines, old refrigerators, dryers, microwaves all have copper coils and wires. With air conditioners and refrigerators it is dangerous to remove the copper unless you know how to avoid releasing the toxic gasses that are used in them.

Scrap Copper: 5 Best Places To Find Scrap Copper

3. If you find a house that is being demolished you can get the wiring. Once striped of the insulation it will yield quite a bit of copper. Although most electricians may have beaten you to it. They are in a unique position to get at the copper first. Still a lot of it gets thrown out so check remodeling and demo sites regularly.

4. Finding old copper statues and other household items like decorations can also be a good source for copper reclamation. Things like teakettles, pots, spigots and even beverage dispensers can yield enough copper to make it worth your while. One great place to find things like this is yard sales and thrift stores. You can buy them for a really cheap price most often less than they will be worth at a recycling shop.

5. Cars are also a great place to look for scrape metal of all types. If you take apart an engine you will find a lot of copper has been used in there. The radiator coils and heating cores are also a good source of copper. You can get trace amounts of the stuff from the onboard computers as well.

You see it is all in what you know. Like did you know that not only could you find copper in pc's but also gold. And that is a great haul seeing as how much it is going per ounce. But that is a topic for another article.
